“Contrasting Educational Methods: Child-Centred vs. Teacher-Directed Approaches”
EXPLORE:
In this course, we will learn about two different ways schools teach. Child-centred schools focus on what each student needs and how they can be active in learning. Teachers help students understand things, and the classrooms are designed to be flexible and friendly. On the other hand, teacher-centred schools use methods where students often just memorize things and follow instructions from teachers. We will see how child-centred schools let students explore and learn on their own, while teacher-centred schools can sometimes limit students. We will also look at the good things and the problems each way of teaching can have in different situations.
